From Property Crimes - Over the past two weeks we have been experiencing a number of garage burglaries in the area of Lowry to 42nd Av N, West of Penn. One or more suspects appear to be riding bikes into the area and committing up to four garage burglaries per night. In some cases they leave one bike behind in favor of another. The loss generally includes bikes, change taken from vehicles that are usually parked inside of the garage, and/or small items such as tools. All cases associated with this pattern will be assigned to Sgt Downing. If officers make contact with potential suspects please complete a field contact report and refer it to Sgt Downing. If evidence is left behind at a scene (a bike) please have the item processed for fingerprints. Given the number of incidents that are occurring in the area it is critical that we id a suspect as soon as possible and collect evidence to ensure a prosecution. We will share additional info as it becomes available. Thanks
