ASSAULT
4320 NEWTON WEDNESDAY 1016 HOURS 08-288420
Fight between a group of Asian males at Henry High School. All suspects believed to be Asian Crip & Purple Brothers gangers.
31st & 4th FRIDAY 0230 HOURS 08-292530
Two 22 & 23 year old white females were parked downtown when a black male approached & demanded a ride @ gunpoint. At the destination suspect exited & demanded purses, reached into the car & grabbed a phone & struck one of them with the gun causing facial scratches. Suspect then met with another male & victims drove home to Coon Rapids & later reported the incident.
FREMONT & LOWRY FRIDAY 2138 HOURS 08-291399
26 year old black male w/22 CAPRS, received a very minor injury to his ear when shot during a verbal argument with an unknown 24-26 year old black male. Suspect with a large gun fired several times at the victim as victim ran away. Officers located three shotgun shells (birdshot).
3242 PENN SATURDAY 2149 HOURS 08-292719
44 year old black male, received a minor gun shot wound to the leg when shot by someone part of a group of 15-16 year old black males. Uncooperative witnesses would only say they heard the words “30’s gang” yelled after the shots were fired.

17 year old black female stabbed and her friends said three females came up, stabbed her and fled on foot. Shortly after dispatch aired two females went to a house a block way and used a phone and then were driven to 23rd/Penn and while in route were overheard talking about stabbing someone. Officers went to 23rd/Penn and located the suspects and a bloody knife. Victim transported and officers learned stab wound penetrated the chest wall, and the victim was being taken into surgery. Arrested were Tiffany Foster-Shelby, 23 and a 15 & 16 year old, all black females
45th & ALDRICH SUNDAY 2028 HOURS 08-293778
24 year old black female threatened w/a shotgun during a verbal argument with a 20-21 year old black male who lives in the area.

36th & HUMBOLDT TUESDAY 0028 HOURS 08-286959
19-24 year old black male attempted to rob a taxi driver at gunpoint while she was sitting in the cab. Victim fought back by spraying mace at the suspect who then fled.
1624 WASHINGTON THURSDAY 0350 HOURS 08-289433
Dispatched to Old Colony on an assault in progress officers arrived and located a 25 year old white male who’d been beaten and was missing his front teeth. Suspect information aired and suspects apprehended nearby with one holding victims wallet and phone. Three additional suspects fled in a brown vehicle after displaying a gun. Victim ID’d suspects. Arrested were Carin Ross & Curtis Gilliam Jr., 28 & 29 year old black males w/26 & 21 CAPRS
3634 COLFAX THURSDAY 2300 HOURS 08-290403
41 year old white male w/33 CAPRS said two 20-30 year old black males attempted to rob him as he walked home. Victim transported for facial injuries received when suspect struck him with an unknown object.
26th & PENN FRIDAY 0100 HOURS 08-290530
41 year old black male came to the precinct to report two 25-29 year old black males attempted to carjack him @ gunpoint. Victim said one threw a brick breaking the vehicle’s window and he heard bystanders yell “police” and suspects then fled on foot.

25 year old white female w/1 CAPRS reported being robbed of her purse containing $600 and some rings by a 23-27 year old white male. Victim, rape victim Wednesday, said suspect jumped out & grabbed her, threw her to the ground and asked if she would have sex with him & when she said no he said “I guess it’s not worth raping you cause I would do a lot of jail time.”

56 year old black male, flagged down officers at Broadway & Bryant and reported being hit with a stick or bat while being robbed of $420 and gold watch by two 15-20 year old black males

12 year old black male robbed of his cell phone by two 16-17 year old black males.

Domino’s driver robbed @ gunpoint by a 28-30 year old black male who told victim all he wanted was the food as he was hungry and that he wasn’t going to shoot him. Loss was food totaling $45.00.

44 year old Hispanic male robbed of his wallet by two 18-20 year old black males while he was inside his garage painting.

Pizza Hut driver robbed @ gunpoint of food and $40 cash by a black male who jumped out of the bushes and said “you know what this is” and “you have 10 seconds to get out of here.”

50 year old black female w/47 CAPRS, reported having all her car windows broken by an unknown 20-30 year old black female, with a hammer, who attempted to rob her after using the ATM. Victim drove to 21st & Emerson and called 911.
2926 KNOX SUNDAY 1800 HOURS 08-293667
22 year old black male flagged down a squad and reported being robbed of $300.00, beaten, shot w/a BB gun and had his car taken by four black males after going to a house looking for his friend. Officers went back to the house and the party who answered was ID’d by the victim. Victim’s car recovered Monday @ 0435 hours @ 30th & Knox with a party sleeping in it. Arrested was Wilmont Johnson a 22 year old black male w/2 CAPRS

2218 IRVING TUESDAY 0105 HOURS 08-286985
Officers observed two parties jay walking and one would not follow direction and upon pat searching him they found a loaded 40 caliber semi automatic in his waistband. It should be noted that arrested party was listed in an August recovery of a rifle and handgun. Arrested was Justin Erickson a 23 year old black male w/6 CAPRS
2027 2nd STREET TUESDAY 2340 HOURS 08-288103
Doing surveillance at Stand Up Franks officers observed two males arguing and one reaches in to a car, pulls out a gun which he points at the head of the other male. When officers approached he reached back into the car and came back out empty handed. Officers then observed a female exit the car and attempt to walk away. Upon searching the car a shell casing and a 45 caliber were found underneath passenger seat. Threatened male uncooperative. Arrested were James Warren, convicted felon, & Tiffany White, 31 & 30 year old black male and white female w/35 & 13 CAPRS

Narcotics search warrant recovered narcotics and a loaded 38 caliber. Arrested were Jamie Hawes & Angela Cannedy, 44 & 48 year old black females’ w/11 & 54 CAPRS. In addition a 48 & 32 year old black male and female w/20 & 21 CAPRS were also in the house.

Homeowner found a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun while doing yard work.

Looking for a juvenile male, JACT officers arrested a male who was found in a bedroom containing narcotics and in plain view a replica gun and two loaded guns, a 22 caliber semi automatic rifle w/barrel & butt sawed off and a 12 gauge semi automatic, both stolen. Also found in the house were an infant in a crib in the bedroom w/the guns and four other children, 3-16 years old. Arrested was Victor Edwards a 19 year old black male w/9 CAPRS – Carry w/out a permit, Narcotics and Child Abuse

Parents of 15 year old w/4 CAPRS turned in a loaded 22 caliber they found hidden in the attic.

TUESDAY
2201 Penn – 1745 hours – 08-287732. While conducting a narcotics detail officers observed parties conducting hand-to-hand transactions in an area known for narcotics sale. Arrested were David Blevins, Omar Dempsey & Sin Bad, 25, 27 & 44 year old black males, w/42, 40 & 15 CAPRS – with one holding weed & cocaine
WEDNESDAY
James & Plymouth – 0124 hours 0 08-288187. Officers did a directed patrol jump out on several parties in an area known for narcotic sales. Arrested were Desmond Noel, Timothy Bellfield, Gerald Warren, Darrell Walton, Freddie Neal III, Dennis Nickens, Tracey Murray-Lee & Reginald Jones, black males, 37, 40, 43, 46, 38, 33, 43 & 50 years old w/27, 4, 90, 123, 67, 33, 14 & 49 CAPRS - one for PC Narc,, one for felony warrant, and six for loitering.
Lyndale/Linden - 0211 hours - 08-288219. Bicyclist struck by a vehicle and suffered head injury and several fractures but was expected to live. The suspect vehicle fled the scene but left car parts behind. Traffic squads responded to handle the scene.
1910 24th Avenue - 1855 hours - 08-288924. Victim returned home to find his home broken into and several items gone and calls 911. While waiting for police he asked neighbors if they saw the suspects and was told that a suspect who was observed along with another male removing several items from the home is down the street where the victim confronts him. Upon arrival officers are directed to the victim and suspect by the witnesses who point out where the suspect hid a safe and also provided the name of the other suspect. Arrested was Romundo Collier a 24 year old black male w/9 CAPRS and a 18 year old black male w/9 CAPRS was ID’d.
2518 Thomas - 2335 hours - 08-289285. Officer searching for a person who ran from other officers, noticed a male with 2 pit bulls, one of which then attempted to jump over a 4’ fence in an attempt to charge her. Officer told the male to take his dogs into his house and he refused and a dog opened the gate and charged the officer. The pit bull jumped at her however she was able to stick her foot out fast enough to prevent the dog from biting her. The dog charged again and she fired three shots at the dog killing it.
THURSDAY
1925 Hillside – 0213 hours – 08-289394. 911 caller reported hearing loud banging and upon arrival officers find two males carrying large screen TV’s. Possibly be related to theft of large number of flat screen TV’s in the precinct this year. Arrested were Stephen Boose, 28 years old and a & 13 male, both black males w/27 & 25 CAPRS – dad and stepson
614 34th Ave – 1815 hours – 08-290097. Burglary: address has been burglarized five times in the past three months and guns were taken in three of the events.
27XX Girard 0838 hours - 08-291200. Officers dispatched to assist EMS with a 4 year old that fell out of a second story window after jumping on a bed placed next to an open window. Child only broke his wrists and bumps and bruises.
SATURDAY
Broadway/Knox – 1814 hours - 08-292462. Officers booked two gang members for Loiter and Obstruction. Arrested were Tywin Bender & juvenile, 18 & 16 year old black males w/26 & 29 CAPRS
SUNDAY
James & Plymouth – 0345 hours – 08-293198. Officers observe numerous parties loitering in the area. One party has a geographical restriction baring him from the area from I-394 to Dowling., from the river to Xerxes. Arrested was Martel Einfeldt, AKA “Peanut”, Michael Bassett & Gerald Warren, all black males 19, 36 & 43 years old w/32 , 26 & 91 CAPRS
24th & Golden Valley Road – 1053 hours. A house exploded and upon arrival there was a strong odor of natural gas. Officers and a citizen entered a portion of the house to check for survivors though could only enter about 10 feet as the house was basically leveled in addition to smoking debris and live electrical lines. The debris field stretched roughly 300 feet in diameter. MFD took control of the incident. A large area was taped off and nearby houses were evacuated. Gas company arrived and shut off the gas. Heavy equipment was then used to remove the debris from over the basement to check for any victims. At 1614 hours the excavation was complete with no victims found. Response cars were called in as calls began stacking up. Resources: name it, they were there and yes, the copper was missing
MONDAY
Plymouth & James - 2037 hrs - 08-294764. Officers observed a group loitering in the area, swooped in and grabbed 11 of them. One was booked for Narcotics, one for a felony warrant, and 9 tagged for Loitering. Area was quiet after that….

08-287473 Search warrant at 2718 James Ave. Officers recovered a small amount of crack and arrested one.
08-288527 - Broadway and Bryant. Officers recovered 16 pills of Percocet and booked one for Narcotics.
08-288581 Search warrant at 2636 Emerson, lower unit. Officers recovered 2 grams of crack and one handgun. One male booked for Narcotics and Weapons and two tagged for misdemeanors.
08-288789 Search warrant at 3236 James upper unit. Officers recovered 3 grams of crack, 163 schedule 11 narcotics pills, and a small amount of marijuana. One was booked for Narcotics, one for a felony warrant and 3 tagged for misdemeanors.
08-289886 Search warrant at 3107 Thomas. Officers recovered 49 grams of crack, 23 pills of ecstasy, over five thousand dollars, and seized one vehicle.
Continued directed patrol in the Zones with numerous arrests.

All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
